Full Name: JoLynne Elizabeth ‘Jane’ (She doesn’t trust anyone enough to know her given name)
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Species/Race (if applicable): Human
Physical Appearance: Jane is a 5’4, 127 pound tomboy; she has a slim/athletic build. Her natural hair color is blond, but she keeps it dyed (a variety of colors, currently red), and her eye color is electric blue. She has a few black/greystyle tattoos, two wings on her back, art all along her right arm, and permanent eyeliner, are her most prominent ones. She also has piercings in her left nostril, belly button, and 4 in her ears. Typically she wares a tank top or a sports bra, and a pair of jeans, cargo pants, or baggy work out pants; foot ware consists of black steel toe combat boots, she also has an old bomber jacket that she will ware on occasion. On her left hip she carries a .50 cal revolver with a 6in barrel; on her right she carries an 8in long fixed blade knife (rather wicked looking thing which she has aptly named The Nutcracker). She has several scars over her body, one over her left eye extending from her hairline to mid cheek; she usually covers this with her bangs. She has 13 across her back varying lengths (remarkably similar to ones that would be made by the lash of a whip); she has tried to cover these with her wings tattoo. She has 7 scars due to bullet wounds, 3 on her right arm, and 4 across her chest; all are covered with either more tattoos or her typical attire. Her legs are 75% covered in burn scarring. Lastly there is one scar to the left of her belly button that extends up to her rib cage, this is the only one she is proud of, and does nothing to cover it.
Rank/Profession/Title: Pilot of anything that flies, walks, or crawls – or anything that pays for that matter.
Character Background/History: Jane is a very physical person. She's very comfortable in her body and doesn't think much of modesty; she can fight just as well in her underwear as she can fully dressed, as long as it doesn’t show her scars (because this usually draws unwanted questions). She's inventive about weapons, is good with her hands, and has an iron-clad stomach. The phrase "knuckles of steel" has been heard when describing her fighting style. Jane is best known for what she is best at: flying, and doing whatever she wants, however and whenever she wants to do it. This becomes a bit of a problem for her at times, because often she doesn't really know what she wants, which leads her usually to do the thing that is most convenient or most confrontational, depending on the situation. Jane gets scared when there isn't a crisis happening in her life; she doesn't trust happiness because she's so rarely had any that lasted, so if things start to mellow out for her, she needs to stir them up, and usually does so by getting herself into trouble. It often seems that Jane is incapable of taking anything seriously. She makes a joke out of the most serious situations, and forces humor into any encounter that turns uncomfortable. She brushes off the foolish risks she takes with her own life, refusing to listen to anyone who tries to get her to think differently; even when she does come close to paying a price for her recklessness, she can't seem to get her head around the idea that her death would affect anyone else. Watch what you say, as she can turn in a moment from enjoying herself to pissed as hell and ready to fight. Jane has prickly pride and courage that verges on recklessness when it comes to fighting or completing a mission. Once she finally trusts you she's a fierce friend, loyal to a fault, and will stand with a comrade to the bitter end if it's where she finds herself. She is a clever and creative thinker. Also, if you don't know the personal things to say to get under her skin, she's pretty impervious to verbal abuse (though she won't hesitate to take someone down a peg if she thinks they're being an idiot).
Soon after Jane was born her parents split, her father took her in, as her mother never really liked children, nor had the patience for them, especially girls. Jane’s father was a crop-duster for a living, when he wasn’t flying he was working the field equipment. He taught Jane to fly very young, flying basically before she could walk; it just came naturally to her. When she was 9 her father bought a second duster and put her to work since she could now reach the rudders, a little over a year later he was killed in a bird strike accident. Jane was devastated and was sent to live with her mother. After a few years with her mother Jane, heavily scared emotionally and physically, she ran away and joined her friends in an extremist independent group, flying a stolen cargo ship, the group did their best to terrorize the Alliance. They lasted several years before they got caught. Jane was 16 when she broke out of prison, stole a ship, and went on the run; the Feds chased her for almost year, before she was caught by a bounty hunter. He liked her and decided not to kill her, but keep her as a non consensual companion. Jane bided her time, waited till he trusted her, got a hold of a knife and stabbed him in the groin; she got the scar on her stomach and his ship as a reward. Jane pawned the ship as soon as she could, after lying low for a while and changing her appearance she stated working as a freelance pilot, just looking for her next job.
Character Abilities A Damn good pilot and lockpick. Lucky (should have been dead a long time ago).
Character Flaws Temperamental, hot-headed, cocky, outspoken, overconfident, low self-esteem, poor vision in her left eye, very touchy when it comes to the subject of her personal life and choices, wanted, this is just naming a few.
